It's crazy how time is flying! We are now reaching winter break and almost done  the year of 2022, Alhamdulillah. During the break it's always great to spend some quality time with our family and friends. Here are some things we can do with the family at home during the winter break.
.
1. Pray and Read Quran/Islamic Stories together

Togetherness in prayer, reading from the Quran, and teaching the Quran to our kids will transform our relationship with them as well as their relationship with Allah SWT. We can schedule specific times and dates throughout the day to read a page or a chapter with our kids and help them comprehend the significance of the relevant Ayat.
.

2. Go Snowboarding/Tubing with the Family - Centennial Park

Every child loves playing with the snow! We only get winter once a year so let's take advantage of the time that we have with the snow and go on a snowboarding/tubing trip with our family. At Centennial Park they have winter events and a large snow hill where we can take our children and allow them to enjoy the snow!

3. Have a Movie night/Game night with Family and Friends

Spending quality time with our families is important, during the winter break we have enough time to do a lot with our families. Playing board games with our family and friends builds our bond much closer and allows us to grow our connection with all of our family and friends.

4. Decorate and Rearrange our Homes into Snow Theme

Making the winter holidays fun by decorating our homes within the snow theme and allowing our children to get creative is a great way to spend time with our families and build connections within one another. Getting creative and having an arts and crafts night at home introducing the different ways that we can decorate our homes is great.

5. Have Family Dinner Every Night Together, Each family member can choose and pick what they’d like to make or order in for dinner on their night

We all look forward to dinner during the day, and it is the one of the most important meals of the day. Within the day encouraging our children to help out in the kitchen means a lot. From the littlest tasks in the kitchen from cutting up vegetables to preparing the dinner table will allow our children to feel more involved, special and connected.

During the winter break let's make some time and memorable memories with our family within some of the ways presented in this blog. We hope you enjoy an amazing and joyous winter break with your family and children filled with lots of love and joy! May this winter break be filled with Allah ( SWT’s) Barkah and Rehmat, Allahumma Ameen.
